Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston on the historical drama series 'Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Her other notable roles include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her career in acting in the age of seven when her aunt, who served as the nanny of Michael Landon's children was able to help her get a guest spot in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more seriously. Her roles were significant on television as well as big screens. Martin, in addition to being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also a successful ballet photographer. The mother of two daughters Martin is the Lupus representative and promotes awareness about the condition every day since the death of her sister when she was the age of 19.
